The Twilight Marquis

The idea of depicting a fox against a green background refers to the nearby polders, which were recently incorporated into the National Scheldt Valley. In recent years, this cunning fellow has found his way deep into the village.

The marquis costume refers to the age-old name of the café, and of course, the Baasrode ship’s lamp could not be left out. Here you see one with the rarest blue glass. That lamp stands as a symbol of the seafaring past that once put Baasrode on the map.
