Description

Even though we know power imbalances exist, changing this dynamic is still challenging. The artist used Darwin's natural elements - lightning storms, waterways, fires, and fertile soil - as metaphors for power, resilience, and the First Nations people of the area. At the centre of her piece a feminine figure holds the viewer's gaze, grounded in her power.

The abstract dandelions represent immigrant communities, hinting at complexities of belonging and exclusion.

The mural can be found off Searcy st, Darwin City, in the carpark next to Ray's Cafe.
