Build Up

The build up is a famous part of Territory weather cycle where the heat and humidity build in the lead up to the wet season. The artwork is a depiction/interpretation of what it’s like to live through and deal with the build up in the Top End. Vincent Poke is a Darwin-based visual artist who works mainly in acrylics on canvas and occasionally with vector art. His style is influenced by pop, Japanese, and graphic styles. Sometimes serious but usually tongue-in-cheek.
