Naranjas y medias

This mural located in the Campo de la Verdad neighborhood is dedicated to the painter Julio Romero de Torres. It was inaugurated, under the name 'Naranjas y medias', on February 26, 2022 with the presence of the Youth Delegate of the City Council, Cintia Bustos and the president of the Southern District Council, Mariló Dámian, within the program 'Planeo promotora' and coordinated by the muralist Marta Puertas.

Eight artists ( Marta Tuuk, Cámara Pasadas, Almudena Castillejo, Virginia Filardi, Sara Moyano, Sota Pérez, Marta Araujo y Clara Gómez) have interpreted a work by the painter in their own space, in their own style, to tell a story first written by Julio Romero, and now told through urban, contemporary art. A work that aims to interact with passers-by, accompany them in their daily lives, enrich them, and why not, attract some tourists who come by.
