La Serrania

"La Serranía" is an explosion of color that makes its way through the gray cement, like a great breath of fresh air, like a natural injection of life. Nestled in a terminal hotel area, the work brings to this urban corner, a bath of healing magic from the mountains. The first tourists that our mountain range received came in search of that "healthy air", highly recommended by the doctors of the time.
The visitors, who got off the train loaded with the hope of recovering the promised quality of life, made their first stop at these lodgings, from whose windows by then they could already glimpse the mountains to the west, outlined in fiery sunsets, as a first sign that they were close to finding what they had come to look for...
Today, many visitors continue to inhabit these lodgings who also come with the challenge of some medical treatment for which they may have to stay for a while... The mural recreates that atmosphere full of of hope and vital energy necessary to overcome adversity. In the mural, the sun embraces everything with its warm rays. Traversing the atmosphere, its radiance takes on different shades that crystallize in the colors of the different animal and plant species, and of everything that coexists.
The mountain range, like a giant with a sensitive soul, takes everything that its surface houses, -including the visitor- shelters it in its heart and transforms it by synthesizing the essences, and returning them to the landscape in the form of rainbows, unfolding its healing message of harmony and coexistence in freedom and diversity. From the heights, the mountains also give us the long-awaited rain that waters life, refreshes tired bodies and soothes aching souls, allowing the continuity of life. Draining through the corners of the mountains, these waters are transformed into streams through which each being, already transformed by the environment, will resume its life course.
