Sleeping Sufi

He was comming out of the egyptian streetart-scene in time of revolution 2011. With his political murals in the center of Kairo he supported the revolution and for it he finished his job as a teacher at the university of art in Luxor and changed to Kairo. The revolution was not successful and the police often arrest him. In opposition to this he can work in Cologne and other places of the free world without any restrictions. In his artworks you can find pop-art in an old tradition. This mural was created by the Festival of City Leaks in September 2015.
 
Zur Zeit der Revolution 2011 verließ er die ägyptische Streetart-Szene. Mit seinen politischen Wandgemälden im Zentrum von Kairo unterstützte er die Revolution und beendete dafür seine Stelle als Lehrer an der Kunstuniversität in Luxor und wechselte nach Kairo . Die Revolution hatte keinen Erfolg und die Polizei verhaftete ihn häufig. Im Gegensatz dazu kann er in Köln und an anderen Orten der freien Welt ohne Einschränkungen arbeiten. In seinen Kunstwerken findet sich Pop-Art in alter Tradition. Dieses Wandgemälde wurde vom Festival of City Leaks im September 2015 erstellt.
