Charley Harper (1922–2007) was a proponent and practitioner of 'minimal realism,' celebrated for his highly stylized wildlife posters, prints, and book illustrations. In 2012 Jenny Ustick led a team of ArtWorks Cincinnati teaching artists and apprentices, adapting this Harper design depicting the mating and homemaking ritual of bluebirds.
