MCMV

An anamorphosis created by Vincent SMALL for the AJ Auxerre football club to celebrate its 120th anniversary. The Roman numerals MCMV refer to the year the club was founded: 1905. This work differs from Vincent SMALL’s usual practice, as he set aside his abstract language to focus solely on a typographic approach, adapting it to the complex architecture of the stadium’s grandstand.
