The Disfida dei Falò is a traditional fire festival held every January in Pontremoli, Italy. This ancient event celebrates the rivalry between two neighborhoods, San Nicolò and San Geminiano, as they compete to build the most impressive bonfire. Each district lights its own massive fire, symbolizing protection and good fortune for the coming year. The festival is deeply rooted in local culture and brings the community together with music, food, and festivities, creating a unique and vibrant atmosphere in the historic town of Pontremoli.
