The Ride by Colour Doomed

Set on the cusp of the so-called trendy area of Cardiff – ‘Pontcanna’ – Colour Doomed’s creation in the Spring of 2014 was painted high up on the side of some art workshops in the city.

Painted on a striking red bricked wall – the predominently blue bird is depicted having fun sliding down The Printhaus’s red stairway.

Whilst all around a host of small yellow characters are littered around the specimen diving, jumping and having a good ol’ time!

(Even one cleverly sporting an old telephone connection box as a back pack!)

Not only is the giant bird sliding down the stairway but it seems one of the yellow character’s trousers have also slid down to reveal an apendage!

The Printhaus is Cardiff’s only screen-printing community and hosts a lot of artist studios, workshops and events.

It’s definately worth checking out their diary to grab yourself some local artwork and a great excuse to see this masterpiece by Colour Doomed with your own eyes!
