A harmonía do contraste

The Italian Roberta Venanzi, painted this wall on the back of the old bus station of the town, one of the most emblematic buildings of Carballo.
At first, she made the right part of this industrial wall, where she took painted the modules in which the surface is already divided as if they were windows. Thus, playing with this idea of simulation, Roberta provided depth to these spaces by means of flat cold colors from which organic forms emerge. In this way, the artist played with a combination of geometric figures and fluid forms, where she tried to create harmony where there is not. It is an abstract painting that is completely integrated into the environment in which it is situated and which is born from the observation and study of the support and its structure. The idea that Roberta had was to create a harmonic situation starting from a chaotic structure.
Months later, following with the intention of creating a fictitious harmony, the author extended the work to the adjoining wall on the left. In this one, with the same structure as before, Roberta used flat warm colors and represented in this case less organic forms, seeking the contrast with respect to her previous intervention.
