Vergoña

Sekone is a multidisciplinary artist at the crossroads of drawing, painting, graphic design and muralism. His permanent curiosity pushes him to explore various pictorial media, which results in an obsession with the care of detail and the improvement of technique, jumping from one medium to another and creating a discourse which combines nostalgia, the absurd , the everyday and its own vital and creative intimacy.
Sekone composed for Rexenera Fest 2017 an image with an extraordinary and undeniable visual impact. An image that is graphically direct but conceptually open to the viewer's interpretation and that symbolizes several reflections simultaneously.
On the one hand, it refers to the continuous personal and artistic journey between error and frustration, a path intrinsic to the human being and inescapable that makes us improve as people and grow as creators. And on the other hand, we can see another reading that points to the topical dichotomy between vandalism graffiti and contemporary muralism, two sides of the same coin.
