Mernette Swartz, aka BLAKZ, has always been fascinated by how the world is represented through the eyes of others, drawn to any form of creativity and expression. Their style is described as free-flowing and colourful, whilst also being structured, crisp, and methodical. After obtaining a Degree in Graphic Design and Illustration then traveling the world for 9 years, they now teach at an art institute in Cape Town, hoping to foster the same enthusiasm for being alive, being creative and grabbing opportunities when they come along.
