Sea of Plastic

Sea Walls Australia is a groundbreaking public art program that brings the message of ocean conservation and environmental stewardship into streets around the country.

Message from the artist:  "In researching this topic I became aware of the immensity of the problem of plastic pollution in the ocean, so I wanted to communicate the scale of the problem with this ‘seascape' of endless single-use drink bottles. The blue and green transparent bottles are intended to convey the crystal clear, clean water of my childhood home in Western Australia."

Andrea Huelin is a local Artist from Cairns that was involved in the 2018 Sea Walls festival in Cairns.
