The fish is symbolic of the commuting life throughout the Cairns region, everyone bustling to their destination. The fishes do not represent one particular species, but instead have a mechanical look to them, balancing out the natural with the man-made. The work is a homage to the beautiful environment, through all its thoroughfares.
