13PULSIONS is one of three winners of the call for projects launched by the City of Brussels in July 2018 for the decoration of three public toilets.

This work is a surreal and colourful metaphor for the City of Brussels. A city that can sometimes be experienced in a magical and fascinating way, sometimes in a disillusioning and grey way. The characters depicted would like to believe that the city is still unique and mysterious; yet on closer inspection, it is just like most cities. It also has its laws, its similarities and its difficulties. The project refers to a series of well-known objects from Belgian (and Brussels) culture to emphasise its uniqueness in this predominantly tourist environment of the Atomium.
