Green City

In the Anthropocene era, a period characterised by greed and nihilism, young people are showing us the way forward. Faced with the climate emergency, the inertia of certain policies and the hypocrisy of our elites, young people are mobilising en masse, freeing themselves from the shackles of the old world and defining our standards of humanity for the future. Today more than ever, as the world is locked in the grip of a pandemic which is dragging our economies to a standstill, we are witnessing the benefits on the ecosystem and are faced with an unprecedented opportunity to re-shape society as a whole. In this work, the artists pay homage to our younger generations – the symbols of life, resistance and hope – to ensure that the future does not resemble the past.
