Artwork created for Blind Walls Gallery

The owner of the house (Amnie van Gils) wanted "the Maria Hemelvaart church to return". She has lived here all her life and regularly visited the former church. Alexander Isakov has been making murals since 2013. The relationship between architecture and ornamentation inspires him. Delicate patterns, architectural structures and accent colours give his work character. Various architectural styles in history, such as battlements, towers, composition and constructions by old masters, are his artistic motivation. He combines these elements into something new, fictional and utopian.
