The most succesful cyclist of the south
Frits Pirard may be the most successful cyclist from Breda. He raced with well-known cyclists such as Joop Zoetemelk, Jan Raas and Gerrie Kneteman. Pirard is the only cyclist from Breda that has ever worn the yellow jersey after his victory in the first stage of the Tour de France in 1983.
