A new look for Haveneiland

Haveneiland (loosely translated: Harbour Island). Since 2014 it has been thé destination for creative organisations and initiatives, who work on development within the fields of entrepreneurship, sustainability, recreation, sport and culture. The former industrial site doesn’t look that appealing to everyone, so the users of the area asked us to (have someone) design signposting that would catch the eye. Soon we figured out that the area would benefit more from a visual identity that makes the organisations more of a unity, makes the area feel more welcoming and improves the overall vibe during events and activities.

Shapes from the surrounding area Artists P. Winkel and Bruce TMC were inspired by the different shapes they found on the site and from this, they developed a visual identity that’s applicable to the many shapes and objects in the area. The design provides a more open look and feel as well as better visibility and familiarity.
