Artwork created for Blind Walls Gallery in 2023

"This mural consists of two parts. You can find the other mural near the Pluktuin (Swammerdamstraat).

With both, the renovation and redevelopment of the neighbourhood in which this mural is located, sustainability and climate adaptation are taken into account. Greening, biodiversity and connection are therefore central to this Blind Wall.
The artwork has been enhanced with climbing plants and ceramic bee hotels. The ‘hotels’ were made by local residents themselves during various workshops. This makes the mural part of the natural environment.

Muurschildering voor Blind Walls Gallery in 2023

“Deze schildering bestaat uit twee delen, je vindt de andere mural bij de Pluktuin (Swammerdamstraat). 

Zowel bij de renovatie als de herinrichting van de wijk waarin deze schildering zich bevindt, wordt veel rekening gehouden met duurzaamheid en klimaatadaptatie. Vergroening, biodiversiteit en verbinding staan dan ook centraal in deze Blind Wall.
Het kunstwerk is uitgebreid met klimplanten en bijenhotels van keramiek. De ‘hotels’ zijn door de buurtbewoners zelf gemaakt tijdens verschillende workshops. Hierdoor wordt de muurschildering onderdeel van de natuurrijke omgeving.
Mogelijk gemaakt door Gemeente Breda, Alwel, Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds, Upsurge en made by GUUZ.
