stand up, speak up

Painted in 2019 by Christian Böhmer for Urban Nation Berlin, this large-scale mural on Bülowstraße gives a voice to marginalized women forced into prostitution. “[...] it is meant as a critical statement to what happens to the poor girls on the streets of this area. It gives a voice to the women who don't have the chance to be heard but are forced to prostitution [...]” Located near the Urban Nation Museum, it stands among murals by renowned artists such as Shepard Fairey and D*Face.
