Pan

The work, painted in the center of Bergamo at a level crossing, was born from the desire of the owners of the facade to express a message that makes us all reflect on the issue of pollution. Due to the intersection with the railway line, the streets of the area find themselves occupied every day by vehicles waiting with the engine running, with the natural consequences. Strong is the contrast with a park in the immediate circumstances, which appears, together with the property in question located exactly on the intersection, suffocated by the fumes and noise of the cars. The person depicted, who by passers-by has been recognized as a modern Pan, wants to represent the personification of greenery and the environment that struggles to make its way between dust and pollution by launching a message of protest and hope at the same time.
