English-born Melbourne-based artist David Bromley painted one of his signature nostalgic images of childhood on a wall in Benalla's main street, as part of the Benalla Street Art Festival in 2024. Pastel colours and images of children reminiscent of book illustrations from the 1950s reflect the artist's style. He has also included a number of 'framed' memes of self-portraits by Vincent van Gogh.
