The blue hour

"The blue hour" is part of an ongoing artistic study focused on the formal and aesthetic qualities of light and atmosphere during the transition between day and night. This specific moment, characterized by a distinctive atmosphere of blue tones, profoundly alters visual perception and evokes a strong aesthetic response.

The project explores how these changing light conditions affect the relationship between the human figure and the surrounding environment, focusing on its compositional and visual dynamics. Through a multidisciplinary approach combining photography and film, a selected frame from the short film created in this research, serves as a reference image for the mural in Belfast.

On May 31th, I will present the short film, which is physically linked to the mural via a QR code, allowing viewers circulating in front of the wall to access the film and connect with the project's narrative.
