This work was originally painted on an adjacent shop as part of Hit the North 2013. Due to a communication error with builders involved with the ‘not fake shop fronts’ project, it and a number of other pieces were accidentally painted over by other contractors. The owner of Keats and Chapman (which incidentally is one of the best book shops in Belfast) was out in the street remonstrating with them that they’d made a mistake and that the artwork was to be preserved at the request of the traders in the area. But it was too late, so Seedhead Arts asked the artist to come back and replicate it on his shutter.
