“I like to incorporate things that are surrounding me when painting a wall. I do so by creating small sceneries and since this one is located at an art school I wanted to show some characters chilling, reading, carrying materials and also build a bridge between the students and urban art by adding urban related details. I really love the wall for its stairs that are obviously a big part of the whole composition so I set everything as if it was all happening on them. The building itself is surrounded by Batumi’s skyrocketing real estate hype that is considered as an ugly concrete jungle by the locals, so that the school itself looks like a remaining soul of Batumi’s history, highlighting the charismatic side of the city, and it’s even located on the street named after Niko Pirosmani.” @nikomovement
