THE POET IN THE SQUARE – BAGHERIA 2022

If you are Sicilian and you wish to better understand your island and unveil your real roots, you must read Buttitta and look at Guttuso. If you are not but you want to learn more about this lovable and controversial place, you should lose yourself in the artistic production of these two men from Bagheria, to find yourself again. I hope children will ask you who these two men were, so that you can buy them a collection of Buttitta’s poems or go together to Palazzo Steri to see the Vucciria painted by Guttuso.
After all, this is yet another reason to paint a mural: these are our treasures!
