Art Is For Nothing

“Art is for Nothing”, Cristian Scutaru’s mural painting, represents the final point of the ReSolutions event, organized by Street Delivery and supported by the Ingenious Drama Association (the guys behind ZidArt). This year has been an odd one, challenging, and thought-provoking. This is how we realized the importance of having art in our lives. The cultural field, strongly hit by the pandemic crisis, is now, more than ever, in need of support from the local and national authorities, as well as from us, people who appreciate, admire, and consume artistic products.

The artwork features, from left to right, the following great actors- landmarks of the Romanian theatre scene: Amza Pellea, Leopoldina Bălănuță, Radu Beligan, Stela Popescu, Toma Caragiu. In the very center, we find Radu Beligan, the famous Romanian actor who gives the name of the theater’s building.

The mural painting covers a 120-square-meter surface and has the capacity of filtering the air of a 120-square-meter forest thanks to the air-purifying paint that was used in the process.
