Located on Airport Avenue, the artwork is a manifesto about the demographic impact in Romania. Generations continue to get further and further away from each other, mostly because of the steady tendency of young people to leave the country and emigrate to more developed states. In the bigger picture, the selfie stands as a symbol of technology- one of the few opportunities we have left to connect with our loved ones and our traditions and bring them closer to us. At the same time, it also stands for the constant and profound alienation between generations.
The artwork covers 100 square meters and has been created using mainly air-purifying paint and spray paint. Creted for the 3rd edition of ZidArt - DomiNow 2020
