No pressure no diamonds

Right in the centre of the Diamond District the very first street art wall appeared. The artists of Suarez Murals painted a hand holding a diamond breaking through the wall.
The idea behind this is that the diamond district is a neighborhood where a lot happens that speaks to the imagination but where you, as visitors can not see much because of the closed character of the buildings. The hand that breaks through the wall, and shows a diamond, symbolizes this.

The slogan "no pressure, no diamonds" refers to the fact that diamonds are under extreme pressure and that you need pressure to achieve something beautiful. For the font we gave the artists free play with the only condition that it should be readable. They were inspired by vintage sign painting.
