If Walls Could Speak, Dan Kitchener

Neon Geisha

During If Walls Could Speak 10 international and nationally recognized artists used the Platanenweg as their canvas to create 10 stunning murals. 10 murals with 10 stories, all within the theme: Amsterdam for Everybody.

Rainy street scenes showing different types of people. Dan Kitchener's work has an urban theme. His work shows the beauty of everyday city life, of which we are part of every day. The beauty of his work is in the cosmic approach in which light, shadow and composition play a major role. His work has a palpable atmosphere, and gives the feeling that you are part of the work yourself.
English artist Dan Kitchener created one of his neon landscapes for ‘If walls could speak’ In this piece a contemplative Geisha stands amongst the locals and the rain surrounded by neon signs. Shoutout to whoever notices the space invader amongst the neon nightlife!
