Roosje

This mural depicts a naked woman reading, unaware a man is tripping in front of her.

Across the mural is the text of the Jacob van Lennep poem “Aan een Roosje” (“To a Rose”). It’s painted on the corner of a street named after Jacob van Lennep, famed writer, artist and politician. The nearly canal is also named after him.

The mural got defaced with paintballs and the text “no porno” previously for depicting the woman’s genitals. After being defaced multiple times, the artist repainted it with the woman’s private parts pixelated.
