SVP Stadsverwarming Purmerend 01

At the meeting point of three neighborhoods in Purmer Noord, Purmerend, I painted three diagonal walls with a vibrant and meaningful theme. The neighborhoods are: Purmerbos (featuring swans with the Purmerbos forest in the background), Rijtuigenbuurt (with horses), and Zuivelbuurt (with cows).

The animals not only represent their respective neighborhoods, but the translucent white-outlined triangles also evoke the feeling of a compass rose, symbolizing direction and connection. These shapes harmonize beautifully with the triangular design of the SVP building itself.

It was a wonderful project to work on, warmly received by local residents, as well as by the many pedestrians and cyclists who pass by every day.
