Cave of Hercules

Duo Amazonas gave us their contemporary view on the Cave of Hercules. They painted a family, from behind, looking at the sea from the Cave of Hercules. The Caves of Hercules are natural caverns located 14 km west of Tangier, in Morocco, at the Atlantic entrance to the Strait of Gibraltar. Geographers and historians identify it with the place where, according to ancient mythology, Hercules, the Greek demigod son of Zeus, rested before stealing the golden apples, once offered by Zeus to Hera, but stolen by the Hesperides.
