Rachel Baxter

The River That Flows in Two Directions

Description

Completed: October 2017

Mural can be found between Columbia and Water Streets along the I-787 wall

From https://albanycentergallery.org/capitalwalls-rachel-baxter : The mural shows an abstract mountain top landscape inspired by the Adirondacks evolving into a map of the Hudson River. Baxter’s inspiration came from thinking about the historical significance of the Hudson River, and how it continues to unite the state’s regions.

...and yes, sometimes my dog, Sparky, wants to get in my pictures!

I love art and I love to travel. When I go to a new place my dog, Sparky, we go for lots of walks, exploring whatever city we are in. I love to take that time to hunt for street art. It's makes it fun for both of us (unless he's actually thinking I'm really annoying for stopping so much!!)
