She Imagined Buttons

A commission by the City of Adelaide for the Adelaide Rockford as a tribute to Sia, painted during the official launch of Sia Furler Lane and the City of Music Laneways. The original design's artwork was deemed to be too lifelike, so adjustments were made to remove a purple and pink wig, while increasing the colours to bring more uplift to Sia's role as a performer. The self-portrait is a reference to the artist's first experience of Sia as she performed at the Adelaide Big Day Out in 2011.
