‘The water tanks at Bridgestone Reserve were transformed into colourful works of art that complemented the development of the Bridgestone Athletics Centre. Artist Ella Simpson spent 60 hours painting the tanks over a number of weeks, working around February’s unusual weather which included searing heat one day and a dash of summer rain the next. The tanks required a primer undercoat and up to four coats of coloured paint, depending on the colour.’
