This mural incorporates a strong and dynamic use of colour and celebrates the cultural diversity of the area. There is a kindergarten and primary school across the road and I wanted to make the portraits large and bold so they could be seen by the kids at the school. Whilst I was painting the mural the kids would come up to the wall after school with many positive comments, one of them saying, 'I can see the mural perfectly from my classroom window!' That was my intention and the mural is for all of the Paralowie community.

The shopping centre intends to invite more artists over time to paint some of the other walls creating a kind of large outdoor gallery.
