Demain est déjà né!

For its 50th anniversary, the building ''La Pyramide'' got  fresh layer of paint. Six confirmed artists from Europe and Côte d'Ivoire, under the leadership of the designer and artistic director of the project, Otto Lemon, created a giant fresco on the facade of the building. Fresco which gives a second life to this emblematic building of the modern history of Côte d'Ivoire.

This building built by the architect Rinaldo Olivieri, with the help of his Ivorian counterpart, Raymond Aka Adjo, between 1968 and 1973, in the brutalist style. . It is one of the first high-rise buildings erected in the commune of Plateau and is the symbol of the economic succesful of the Ivory Coast in the 70's !

The idea of this project was to make a focus on this special building which is since 30 years abandonned and forgotten !
"With orher artists international and local  as " Dourone", Issa Diabaté (famous architect in ouest africa) or Paskal Konan (ivoryan artist) we paint 2 xxl mural, many walls and  windows all over the place ....it is the first project in ouest africa ." : shares the artist
