TO THE AGES OF AGES, RIACE 2023 A hommage to the eternity of art and its power of crossing the centuries. “To the Ages of Ages”, because paiting the Riace Bronzes is an opportunity to remember that culture and art are mighty and stretch over time, crossing the centuries of the History of Humankind; they are infinte and strong, they are so necessary they become Eternal”. My work is like a close-up on a detail of our story and culture, rooting in Greek heritage, on art and the way we think about it. It is a focus on what we were, because knowing what we were is essential to better understand who we are, for us as artists and for all human beings. This work is part of the Qui e Ora project by Regione Calabria, dedicated to the municipality of Riace in the framework of the celebrations of the 50° anniversary of the discovery of the Riace Bronzes.
