L'immagine di una ragazza che deve divenire subito adulta, che non ha età, perchè la miseria la costringe a lavorare (privandola della spensieratezza della fanciullezza) è uno dei temi dei libri di Saverio Strati. Lo scrittore era convinto che si può essere universali anche parlando sempre di Calabria e che, viaggiando, è possibile incontrare Tibi e Tàscia, ed altri personaggi dei suoi racconti, in molte strade del mondo.

The image of a girl who must quickly become an adult, who has no age, because poverty forces her to work (depriving her of the carefree nature of childhood) is one of the themes of Saverio Strati's books. The writer believed that one can be universal even when always talking about Calabria and that, by traveling, one can encounter Tibi and Tàscia, and other characters from his stories, on many streets around the world.
