Reposé sur son étoffe beige, l’enfant contemple une flore printanière et abondante. À travers cette oeuvre, "Respire", Seth interroge notre rapport à la nature, ce mythe originel. La présence de l’enfant suggère de cultiver un regard innocent et bienveillant à l’égard de notre nature et de l’enfant qui sommeille en chacun de nous.

L'artiste a posé ses pinceaux au cœur du quartier versaillais durant 8 jours afin de réaliser sa fresque, à l'aide de peinture acrylique et de bombes aérosols.

Le quartier Bernard de Jussieu à Versailles, construit dans les années 1960, a récemment fait l'objet d'une importante transformation. Son ensemble de logements sociaux a été rénové grâce à un programme de réhabilitation thermique mené par Eiffage Construction, en collaboration avec Ithaque, Vincent Lavergne Architecture & Urbanisme et BETOM Ingénierie, Versailles Habitat et la Ville de Versailles. Cette initiative visait à améliorer le quotidien des habitants par la modernisation et la valorisation des bâtiments.

Pour accompagner cette rénovation, Quai 36 a assuré la direction artistique avec le Projet n° 1096, du nom des 1 096 appartements réhabilités. Pendant un an, dix muralistes français et internationaux ont été invités à créer des fresques monumentales, d'environ 200 mètres carrés chacune, sur les façades des immeubles. Ces œuvres sont apparues progressivement, transformant le quartier en une galerie à ciel ouvert vibrante.

En fusionnant la réhabilitation urbaine avec l'art public à grande échelle, le projet n° 1096 a non seulement amélioré le cadre de vie, mais a également apporté créativité et visibilité culturelle au quartier, transformant l'architecture quotidienne en une toile pour l'expression artistique.

Resting on his beige cloth, the child contemplates the abundant spring flora. Through this work, "Breathe," Seth explores our relationship with nature, this primal myth. The child's presence suggests cultivating an innocent and benevolent perspective on our own nature and the child within each of us.

The artist spent eight days in the heart of the Versailles neighborhood creating his mural, using acrylic paint and spray paint.

The Bernard de Jussieu neighborhood in Versailles, built in the 1960s, has recently undergone a major transformation. Its social housing complex was renovated through a thermal rehabilitation program led by Eiffage Construction, alongside Ithaque, Vincent Lavergne Architecture & Urbanisme, and BETOM Ingénierie, in collaboration with Versailles Habitat and the City of Versailles. This initiative aimed to improve the everyday lives of residents by modernizing and upgrading the buildings.

To accompany this renewal, Quai 36 took charge of the artistic direction with Project #1096, named after the 1,096 apartments being rehabilitated. Over the course of a year, ten French and international muralists were invited to create monumental frescoes, each covering around 200 square meters, on the façades of the buildings. These works gradually appeared, turning the neighborhood into a vibrant open-air gallery.

By merging urban rehabilitation with large-scale public art, Project #1096 not only enhanced the living environment but also brought creativity and cultural visibility to the district, transforming everyday architecture into a canvas for artistic expression.
