Antonello Di Stefano

Mural dedicated to Ignazio Silone

This artwork is dedicated to the novelist Ignazio Silone, born in Pescina and author of the famous novel “Fontamara“. Looking at the mural from the right perspective you will discover that, after appropriately corrected your steps forward and backward, the profile of the mountains painted by the artist will perfectly follow that of the real reliefs, in an ideal and harmonious contiguity between art and nature. Silone is portrayed in the years of his youth, with his gaze turned on the places of his heart, Marsica Mountains and the Plane of Fucino, at the time a great lake.
