IN POLVOROSA PEDES PONE
Description
The subject depicted is a panoramic view of the municipality of Polvorosa de Valdavia at its main entrance, next to the road, as seen from the Alto El Huevo viewpoint. The image is a reinterpretation of the drawing, photomontage, and painting titled “In Polvorosa pedes pone,” created by Ostern in 1999. The mural was completed in August 2023 thanks to the participation of approximately seventy volunteers, who covered the cost of the materials. The “In Polvorosa pedes pone” Cultural Association was formed in connection with this artistic project.

OSTERN
OSTERN is a visual and audiovisual artist born in Valladolid, Spain. He specialized in drawing and painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Bilbao (1980-1985). He pursued doctoral studies in the Department of Art History at the University of Valladolid (1988-1990). He received the 13th Blanco y Negro Prize (Madrid, 1994). He worked and exhibited with the Kreisler Gallery in Madrid (1996-2003). His most recent exhibitions have been held at the Patio Herreriano and MUVa Museums in Valladolid.
