Embroidery, has been much more than a craft: it is an act of remembrance, a knowledge passed down from generation to generation. Woven into its threads is the history of our women, their patience, their artistry, and their connection to the land.
The concept behind this mural is rooted in that heritage. Embroidery as a connecting thread between generations.
The mural is composed as if we were viewing that moment through a mobile phone screen: the visual elements of a digital camera (zoom, time-lapse, recording, etc.) frame the main image. This approach aims to prompt the following reflection: what if we could look at the past as one opens the camera of the present?
Technology does not replace memory, but it can open windows to it.
The mural seeks to unite yesterday and today, capturing in a single image the value of traditional knowledge and the contemporary perspective with which, today, we try to recover and dignify that legacy.
