Lula Goce

Artemisa

Artemis, Greek Goddess of Birds.
Project curated by Rebobinart in Sant Andreu de la Barca, Barcelona, as part of the Kromatico Festival.

Lula Goce, an internationally recognized Galician artist, has been one of the outstanding participants of the KROMATIC Festival, held this June in Sant Andreu de la Barca. Her work has transformed a median strip on the Carretera Martorell into an ode to balance, nature and introspection.

With a career that combines fine arts, muralism and a deep visual sensitivity, Lula has created a mural where a young woman in a meditative attitude merges with a natural universe full of symbolism. Sitting on a bed of flowers and leaves, the central figure carries a bird's nest on her head, from which birds emerge that symbolize thoughts, freedom and creativity. This delicate and powerful scene at the same time becomes a visual cry to the connection with our environment and the need for a conscious life that respects biodiversity.

The artist highlights that the city, surrounded by rivers and mountains, has often turned its back on its natural environment. Therefore, the mural is also an invitation to look at it with new eyes, to value and reflect on the role we play as inhabitants. According to Lula, the painting seeks to promote more sustainable actions and help us imagine a more ecological coexistence through art.

With his poetic and meticulous aesthetics, Lula Goce has contributed to the festival a piece of high visual and emotional impact, reaffirming KROMATIC's commitment to urban art as a transformative tool with the capacity to generate critical thinking.
