Fresh first big wall in a residential area in 's-Hertogenbosch by Brazilian artist @pixote_mushi , curated by @openartmuseum and @kingsofcolors , supported and sponsored by the Brazilian Embassy @embaixada_brasil_paises_baixos 

and Housing Corporation Zayaz. 
 

A large tree serves as a shelter, abode and food source for hundreds of birds. Even if that tree is cut down, the birds that come out of that big tree fly everywhere and scatter their seeds. 

 

With this wall Pixote Mushi made his debut in The Netherlands, showcasing his amazing art and culture. His first wall outside the borders of Brazil is in native colours. It is a tribute to Brazilian indigenous art. The mural pays honor to native artist and friend Jaider Esbell ( @jaider_esbell , @galeriajaideresbell ) who died in 2021 and has been a source of inspiration for the artist. 

 

As many street artists today Pixote comes from the old school hiphop and graffiti scene. Today however, his focus is mainly on lino-cut and engraving techniques. His art talks of the rights of indigenous peoples, their persecution throughout history and the demarcation of their land. Pixote also teaches and holds workshops for the youth of his community hoping to pass along important skills for future artists.
