The owner of the house enjoys both nature and street art. She had a boring side wall of her house and wanted to brighten up the neighbourhood. For the artist this job had exactly the ingredients that make her work so wonderful: a beautiful blank brick wall with a small garden in front of it (that fits so nicely with the painted flowers), a design with wild colorful flowers (that also can be seen in the backyard of the owner's house), a personal touch in the design (the butterflies) and a great view from the road so that passers-by can also enjoy the painting.
Lonneke says: "Painting nice big flowers on houses, is exactly the best job for me to do".

Lonneke van Zutphen has been creating murals throughout the country for more than 15 years now. She studied applied spatial design and was trained to be a visual arts teacher.
Lonneke lives in Zwolle.
