Spaz is a Lebanese graffiti artist, a key member of the Beirut scene since 2012. The meaning of his name, according to him, is "the loss of mental and physical control" that applies to each of us. We all have our “bugs” based on our daily lives. Spaz's name, identity and characters project these personal and public experiences, creates a link between the concrete and the absurd. Spaz is always exploring, experimenting with different styles, expressions, movements and mediums, and regularly collaborates with other artists all around the globe. Having traveled to showcase his talents from Latin America to Europe, in various festivals and cultural events, Spaz feeds off his inspirations and enjoys equally clean and stylish vandalism, as well as huge murals where textures and characters abound. These characters have become his trademark, and their expressions tinged with pure madness can be found everywhere.
